Our focus is on curating exceptional luxury yacht charters for every guest, based on their unique preferences and characteristics. Every client is different, and so are our luxury holidays.
All our luxury sailing holidays are curated by charter experts who build an amazing holiday experience around the most important factor. You!
We have an unwavering focus on quality. We define quality as understanding your expectations and doing everything we can do to beat them.
With our outstanding Trustpilot ratings and ABTA and ATOL bonding, we are demonstrably trusted and reliable for 1000s of guests every year.
The qualification requirements are different by country, however all destination authorities accept the International Certificate of Competence (ICC), so we recommend that you acquire one of those. You automatically qualify for an ICC if you have a RYA Day Skipper practical certificate or higher. If you don’t have an ICC, please contact us to confirm your qualification is valid. Please note that in Croatia you must have a Short Range Radio (VHF) Certificate.
Generally, we have yachts up to 60’ and catamarans up to 54’ that you can charter without a professional skipper on board (bareboat). When you get up to the larger boats it does depend on the specific owner and the specific yacht, so feel free to contact us or search our availability for ‘boat only’ sailing holidays.
Yes, indeed. We are proud to offer a wide range of yachts and catamarans including luxury spec boats that you can sail yourself. These are far from being the ‘plastic fantastics’ that you’ll find elsewhere. We boast brand-new boats with teak decks, air-con, generators, American style fridges, solar panels, water makers and so much more!
There is full support available to you out on the water if you need it. It’s important to note that due to our focus on quality, we have very few occasions that require intervention but there are strict processes in place if you do. You will have the contact details of the local base manager who will talk you through a resolution, if possible, or will arrange someone to meet you if it’s more serious. You are also encouraged to talk to Seamaster here in the office if you require further help or advice – we’re always available.
Every yacht has is coded (registered) for charter, which means it is legally required to have full safety and navigation equipment on board, including VHF radio, lifejackets, charts, and chart plotter. In addition to the standard inventory, each yacht will have different inventory and facilities such as air conditioning, water maker, generator, solar panels and teak decks. It’s important to ascertain the specific inventory of each boat you are considering to ensure you are comparing like for like.
In addition to the cost of the boat, there are several obligatory yacht expenses you should also consider. Firstly, is the ‘base charge’ (sometimes called end cleaning or transit log), which is a fixed cost that is charged to cover the costs of running the local base. This cost that differs per boat, typically includes boat cleaning, gas bottles, linen/towel cleaning and sometimes extras such as wifi and outboard. Further to this is the Seamaster security deposit indemnity, which is paid to protect you against losing your security deposit. You’ll also get a full fuel tank at the start of your charter that you must return full, so you only pay for whatever fuel you use. Finally, you should also budget mooring fees, which vary greatly between country and even individual moorings. In Croatia, we say to budget €400 per week for a medium sized yacht enjoying a variety of different mooring types.
